Four Gifts in One – A Poem
O’ Holy Night
Holy poetry, reflecting on the night that Christ was born.
‘The earth’s axis rocked gently, a newborn’s cradle.’
An event that would change the course of History and our lives forever.
Thank you @suzette for sharing your poetic meditation in celebration of the Living Word we commemorate on Christmas.Day.

One ordinary night, long ago, in a noisy manger,
The earth’s axis rocked gently, a newborn’s cradle.
His identity, foretold in stories and The Torah,
The eternal curtain had unveiled, Abba Father.
The priestly tabernacle lay swaddled in a stable,
His names: Hosanna in the Highest, Counsellor,
Emmanuel, Wonderful, Lion of the tribe of Judah,
His voice; Like the sound of many waters,
His mission: To deliver,
Four gifts in One –
Something wanted,
Something needed,
Something to wear,
Something to read,
– The Living Word.
