Cancer is a killer

December 22, 2021

Chemotherapy is such a bugger

Look at this most beautiful smile, all the same…

Mohammed Zaeem Khan in hospital, where he spent months undergoing chemotherapy.

Mohammed, who is from Ladysmith, was diagnosed with leukaemia in August. He was referred to Albert Luthuli Hospital for treatment.

“We didn’t cry in front of him and we didn’t want him to feel the sadness or different emotions. By us being strong, we later started getting strength from him. He is such a different person and so strong and mature now.” – Aaliyah Khan

Mohammed Zaeem Khan lost two friends to cancer along the way, in the hospital where he stayed. He was eventually discharged from hospital on Monday, 20 December 2021.

Mohammed Zaeem Khan dreams of becoming a doctor some day. God grant him his hearts desire. Amen

I’ve been through two cancers and lots and lots of chemo. I have a lot of nephropathies and a foggy brain from the chemo. But like the my doctor said, it’s better than the alternative. I truly hope Mohammed can realize his dream and become a doctor.

    • Oh Timothy I’m so happy to hear you survived.
I had to watch how chemotherapy rocked the system of a dear one. It isn’t easy, I can only imagine the effects of chemotherapy.
Right now there seems to be no other way. It’s the best we have to fight and see another day.

We are in agreement, I pray for his complete healing and dream fulfilling.

  2. A brave young man… and a wall of a mother, whom he can lean against… hoping he achieves his goal…

    • So brave, coming through such vicious battle… yes he can lean on her…
The smile, I pray so too..🙏🏻

  3. 😦 😦 😦

    • I’m so happy he made it out of that hospital.
I’m so happy he is optimistic
I’m so happy, his smile so beautiful stole my heart.

  4. All of my love and strength to Mohammed. ❤️❤️❤️

    • Good morning Jeff❤❤, thank you for your prayers.
      Have a wonderful Christmas Eve

      • Good morning, dearest Abi. Welcome, always. Thank you, my dear. A wondrous Christmas Eve to you too. ❤️❤️❤️

  5. Thank God he is out. My our future doctor live a long happy, and blessed pain free life.
