On the east coast the month of October is bursting at the seams, she is overflowing with events, stories and adventures. Hot, hot, hot, from politics and prayers to pageantry your province has become the epic-centre of the country with much to bear

KwaZulu-Natal stand up once more, your girl Lalela Mswane has been crowned as the new Miss South Africa at a star-studded event held at the Grand West, Cape Town, on Saturday, 16 October 2021.

Lalela Lali Mswane is a South African ballet dancer, model and beauty queen who holds a law degree. She is also a talented vocalist. She was born and raised in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Her mother Hleliselwe Mthiyane-Mswane worked as an account clerk while her father Muntu Mswane was a diplomat and a minister. Born in Eswatini, he served as Swaziland’s High Commissioner to South Africa.

“What I look for in a leader is somebody who is self-aware, very accountable, encourages critical thinker, innovative in action but most importantly, prioritises the personal development of every person in South Africa. In June 2020 she established her nonprofit organization called the Lalela Mswane Foundation, which strives to empower the youth to soar.

She will represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2021, Miss World 2022 or Miss Supranational 2022.
