Unbelievable Temperatures

August 28, 2021

Bitter cold and snow will strike.

The City of EThekwini closes beaches as cold and wet weekend sets in.

“Once the cold front has passed and the Berg winds are over and there’s significant cooling, on Saturday night and Sunday morning, temperatures could go down to minus 15,” – Forecaster Thandiwe Gumede of the SA Weather Service, based at King Shaka International Airport, 27 August 2021.

“I expect it will be the coldest it’s ever been in the 10 years I have been here.” – Peter Muil, general-manager of the Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens Hotel.
